Movember has a vision: to have an everlasting impact on the face of men’s health.  By 2030, we aim to reduce the number of men dying prematurely by 25%.

Since its humble beginnings in 2003, the Movember movement has grown to be a truly global one, operating in 20 countries and inspiring support from over 6 million supporters around the world.  We are currently ranked 45th out of the top 500 non-governmental organisations around the world.

With more than 1,250 men’s health projects funded around the world, we’re the only charity tackling men’s health on a global scale, year round. We’re addressing some of the biggest health issues faced by men: prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health and suicide prevention.  We’re committed to tackling the issue of the poor state of men’s health and do this through investing in research, by putting men’s health on the news agenda, and sparking conversation both publicly and privately that encourage and equip men to take an active interest in their own health. 

In order to support our vision and ambitious goals, we have been building the fundraising strategy beyond our famous peer to peer campaign.  Movember now seeks a new Director of Major Gifts who will work closely with fundraising colleagues and other team members across the organisation globally to build a successful major gift fundraising program to support our mission. The Director will manage a group of assigned, qualified donors with the capacity to make annual gifts of £50,000 or more, with a view to developing and further building on a major donor pipeline.

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate a track record in the cultivation and solicitation of major gifts from high net-worth individuals and trusts/foundations, ideally at the 6 figure level. You will need to have an entrepreneurial mindset and be comfortable with developing an emerging major gift function in the UK and Europe. Superior relationship-building and communication skills will ensure your ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholders at all levels. Fundamental to your success will be a demonstrated commitment to the Movember values and passion for the cause, with an understanding of and ability to represent the brand and image at all times.
