Head of Campaign

University of the Arts London

Location: Holborn, London

Salary: This post has been graded as a UAL grade 7: the standard salary range for this position is £53,011 – 64,032, with a discretionary contribution range up to £71,494, subject to skills and experience.

The University of the Arts London (UAL) is a global leader in arts, design, fashion and communications.

The 2020 QS Rankings for Art and Design rank us as second in the world, as well as the world’s leading art and design university with undergraduate provision.  We have a clear strategic vision which focusses on providing transformative education, developing world-leading research and enterprise, becoming the centre of public debate for the future of arts, design, fashion and communication, and building an inspirational, physical environment that supports its students, staff and wider communities.

To support this ambition, we are in the final planning stages of our first-ever comprehensive fundraising campaign.  The campaign is part of the university’s largest-ever investment in Development posts and activity, and support for our work across the university could not be stronger.  Our fundraising activity since 2014 demonstrates a steady, upward trajectory and we have achieved significant results already.  We are now seeking a talented Head of Campaign to join and help us fulfil UAL’s potential.

The Head of Campaign is a key role in the planning, development and implementation of our campaign and delivery of a multi-million pound target.  You will design a campaign that will incorporate hugely ambitious capital plans (including entirely new campuses in London within the next five years) and support for students facing increasingly difficult living conditions in London.

Critical to your success in this important role is your track record of working on successful multi-million pound fundraising campaigns.  You will bring excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, and a strong ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve.  Your enthusiasm, pragmatism and resilience will help you win the support of those around you, and experience of securing major gifts is also highly desirable.

If you are interested in a unique chance to manage a substantial fundraising campaign which will change the landscape of London and make a significant impact on the future of this institution and Britain’s creative future, we’d like to hear from you.  To view the information pack for this unique opportunity or to arrange a confidential discussion with the consulting team please contact our recruitment partners at Richmond Associates on +44 (0)20 3617 9240.

CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS IS 10AM FRIDAY, 5 MARCH 2021

We particularly welcome applications from minority ethnic candidates as they are under-represented within UAL at this level.
