Saheli supports women and children experiencing domestic abuse, from Black Asian Minority Ethnic communities. Saheli (meaning friend) is committed to creating a safe space, providing culturally sensitive support, language assistance, and a voice and identity to BAME women facing violence in their lives.

This is a new post, created to help the organisation diversify income streams. It is a great opportunity for a fundraiser who is dynamic and creative with exceptional interpersonal, communication and planning skills as well as proven success in raising substantial sums from individual and corporate donors.

The charity is looking at building Corporate and High Net Worth relationships. New Corporate, High Net Worth individuals and regular giving support will need to be identified and cultivated.

As the sole fundraiser for the charity the post holder will need to combine a strategic mind-set, with the practical skills of hands-on fundraising. Reporting to Saheli Chief Executive, you will support the organisation achieve its income generation strategy.

The objectives of the role are to:

  • Manage and deliver our fundraising strategy in the areas agreed by the trustees
  • Raise awareness of the organisation both locally and nationally.
  • Oversee fundraising volunteers.
