We’re looking for a proactive individual with relationship and project management experience gained in the corporate or fundraising sector to join us as a Corporate Partnerships Executive and play a vital role in our award-winning team’s future.

A home is a fundamental human need, as essential as education or healthcare. Yet millions of people across Britain struggle on a daily basis with homelessness, bad housing conditions, soaring rents, discrimination and the threat of eviction. So, we are striving for change — with individuals, in communities, across society – and leading the way to a safe home. We need ambitious, best-in-class individuals who are passionate about our cause to join us at this exciting time. This is your chance to play a part in the fundamental change we are striving to achieve.

Fundraising is at the heart of Shelter’s success. Indeed, between 16/17 and 19/20 our fundraising income has increased from £33 million to £45 million. Our Corporate Partnerships team is split into two areas. New Partnerships generates new business through a range of corporate fundraising mechanics, while the Partnership Management team, where this role is based, lead the development of long-term corporate partnerships. And, because the division as a whole continues to grow and develop, it's a truly exciting time to join us.

About the Role

This is an exciting role where you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of existing corporate partnerships, developing and delivering them in-line with the corporate partnership strategy. This will include providing support on our highest value corporate partnerships with B&Q and Nationwide. You will also manage a portfolio of partnerships which currently include Barton Willmore, Baillie Gifford and BM Solutions but this is subject to change according to team needs. In addition, you will be responsible for monthly reporting on income from your partners, evaluating activities, updating databases and supporting the team in their activities, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records are kept.

About you
With a proven track record in relationship and project management in the corporate or fundraising sector, you're great at managing client relationships, quickly understanding their needs and responding to them effectively. You’ve got a results-driven, collaborative approach, top notch influencing and negotiating skills, and respect others’ opinions. You’ll also have commercial awareness, lots of creativity and innovation, good time management skills and a willingness to challenge the status quo and introduce new methods, processes and ideas. Experience of using Microsoft Office applications and databases (we use Raisers Edge) is also essential.

Benefits
We offer a wide range of benefits, including 30 days of annual leave, enhanced family friendly policies, pension and interest free travel loans. Our employees also have access to a tenancy deposit loan, payroll giving, cycle to work scheme and an employee assistance programme.

Shelter helps millions of people every year struggling with bad housing or homelessness through our advice, support and legal services. And we campaign to make sure that, one day, no one will have to turn to us for help. We’re here so no one has to fight bad housing or homelessness on their own.
