Join our team! Spinal Injuries Association (SIA)

Job title: Events Coordinator
Full-time: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £27,500, plus benefits
Location: Milton Keynes (flexible home-based working available during pandemic)

We are a national charity that exists for spinal cord injured people, run by spinal cord injured people. For more than 45 years, we have empowered spinal cord injured people to rebuild their lives after injury through provision of vital information, representation, and support. Spinal Injuries Association is a truly inspirational place to work.

During the recent Coronavirus pandemic, SIA has been a beacon of light for the 50,000 spinal cord injured people in the UK living day-to-day with paralysis, incontinence and a high risk of life-threatening conditions. With determination, flexibility and creativity we are responding to a huge increase in demand for our services, despite facing a £1m fall in income.

We’re looking for an Events Coordinator to join our dynamically evolving fundraising team, to manage a varied programme of new and established special events. If you enjoy planning, organising, collaborating and influencing, then we could have the perfect job for you.

Spinal Injuries Association is in the midst of transformational change. We already make a significant difference to the lives of people affected by spinal cord injury, but there is so much more we plan to do. We have ambitious plans to scale up our reach and impact which has already been accelerated by the current pandemic. If you share our passion, drive and can-do attitude and have experience of planning and delivering events, then we’d love to hear from you.

Application deadline is 21st October and interviews 9th and 10th November.
