A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Corporate Partnerships Officer to join our team at SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity. This is for a period of up to 12-months to cover a maternity leave – ideally to start in March.

We are looking for an experienced and highly proactive Corporate Partnerships Officer to support the Corporate Partnerships team. This role will support the Corporate Development Manager to secure new business with partners, as well as supporting the Corporate Account Managers in managing small to mid-level partnerships.

About the role

The role focuses on account managing corporate relationships and providing expert fundraising support throughout the portfolio. You will have the chance to work on a wide range of fundraising activities, and develop innovative engagement programmes which maximise income, giving you the opportunity to develop and utilise your account management and relationship building skills devising growth plans for partners with potential to give more.

We are keen to find the right person for the role, and therefore happy to discuss flexible working patterns such as compressed hours or early/late start times. We have a remote working policy, with only occasional travel into the London office. You may need to occasionally represent the charity at events and visit the offices of corporate partners so flexibility and the willingness to travel is essential.

About you

This role would suit someone with some account management experience in either the charity or corporate sectors. You’ll need to have excellent communication skills to inspire, engage, inform and thank new and existing supporters through all channels as well as developing strong working relationships with team members.

Other essential skills:

  • Research skills with the ability to identify new opportunities and develop clear responses.
  • Evidence of creative thinking and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a track record for collaborative working and building sustainable relationships at all levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
