Area Fundraising Manager
£28,000 – 30,000 depending on experience
37 hours per week, Permanent
Covering Somerset – can be based Taunton or Yeovil

2020 marks the 40th anniversary of St Margaret’s Hospice Care, and as we embark on a year of celebrations and a remodelling of our care services, we are looking to appoint an ambitious new Area Fundraising Manager to help grow and sustain income from our local community.

If you have experience in generating significant sums from a range of sources, including events, community and corporate fundraising or in a similar field, we’d love to hear from you.

In this challenging but exciting role you will develop, implement and overseeing strategic plans to engage, retain and develop loyal support from the community of Somerset. This will require an individual, who can build strong relationships both internal and external, who can motivate, inspire and engage individuals, groups and organisations to understand, support and advocate for our work. Experience of working with volunteers will be essential.

The successful candidate will need to understand the importance of donor and supporter care, be able to deliver against net income targets, and be willing to travel across Somerset and work at pace. You will lead and manage a team of community fundraisers, and will need to work collaboratively across the wider fundraising department to help ensure income generation goals are met.

With ambitious plans to extend our reach as a hospice helping more people to receive specialist end of life care across the county, we need to galvanise the support of our local community and maximise our fundraising potential. If you are a self-starter, have the ability to produce and deliver results, have excellent communication skills both written and verbal, and a passion for fundraising, then this is the role for you.

In return we offer a rewarding role in a stimulating and positive working environment, the opportunity to develop new skills, and the satisfaction of supporting the St. Margaret’s team to help make each day count for patients and their families in Somerset.

Closing date: 18 February 2020
