3) The prevention of pressure ulcers

4) The improvement of upper limb function

The Role:

The role of Individual Giving Fundraiser is a new one, created to maximise the potential of our existing donors, both one-off and regular, and to actively recruit new donors to the charity to develop over time, especially within the spinal cord injury community.  The objectives of the role will be to:

· Significantly grow regular giving and one-off individual donations

· Develop and implement new appeals, including Legacy fundraising when appropriate.

· Provide exceptional stewardship to new and existing donors.

· Manage donors on the database ensuring all records are up to date.

Person Specification:

You will have had experience of Individual Giving Fundraising, have outstanding people skills and be familiar with databases, donor development and stewardship.  You will be an excellent communicator and a creative thinker and work well in a small team.  You will enjoy supporting the occasional event where everyone must ‘muck in’.  You will be self-motivated and proactive and be able to manage your own time effectively.

Benefits:

Stoke Mandeville Spinal Research is a small charity with a friendly team who work closely together to achieve a shared annual fundraising target.  Supported by a highly engaged board of trustees, the team enjoys flexible working hours from the office in Stoke Mandeville or at home, and there is a shared passion to fulfil the charity’s objectives.
