Tearfund's vision is to see people freed from poverty, living transformed lives and reaching their God-given potential. We follow Jesus where the need is greatest, responding to crisis and partnering with local churches to bring restoration to those living in poverty.

We are looking for a new Nations Lead for our Wales team who will be the face of Tearfund in the nation. The role holder manages the national team to deliver agreed vision, strategy and objectives, supported by the National Advisory Committee, to make a significant contribution to Tearfund's overall fundraising and supporter engagement.

Our ideal candidate will be:

  • An experienced manager and leader

Interviews are on 19th February 2021 and references may be requested prior to offer. 
We will request 2 presentations at the interview: 

Please deliver a short, biblical talk about Jesus and justice, aimed at a church congregation who are (on average) in their 30s. Please take the opportunity to invite people to take action with Tearfund at the end. 7 minutes

This role will aim to increase engagement and fundraising for Tearfund. Please present a short talk outlining the top three strategic priorities you would bring to this Wales Lead role and the Wales team. 7 minutes

This role is part time, 24.5 hours per week

The recruitment process will include specific checks related to safeguarding issues. In addition, personal identification information will be submitted against a Watchlist database to check against criminal convictions as a counter-terror measure.
