The Childhood Trust is delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for an experienced Head of Fundraising and Development.

The Childhood Trust is London's child poverty charity, targeting 700,000 children living in poverty in London. Our primary work is funding projects that support children and young people to overcome the disadvantages caused by poverty such as hunger, homelessness, stress, loneliness, and anxiety. In addition the charity advocates for children via our research and campaigns as well as delivering an impactful volunteering programme that works directly with disadvantaged children and their families.

Our funding supports children from across London and is aimed at engaging the most disadvantaged children in the poorest communities. Since 2013 our matched fundraising campaigns have helped to raise £14.8m for 422 projects, engaging over 190,000 disadvantaged children in London

Working in a small team and reporting to the CEO, the successful applicant will have overall responsibility for income generation within the organisation.

To be successful in this role you will need to have an entrepreneurial and self-directed approach to fundraising and have the ability to work collaboratively with your colleagues. You will have experience across a range of fundraising disciplines with a focus on Trusts and Foundations and have previously developed an effective fundraising strategy across Corporate Partnerships, Trusts & Foundations and Philanthropy.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic and determined individual who is eager to make a big difference in a small but successful and rapidly growing childrens charity with ample opportunity for advancement.
