We are looking for a dynamic and talented fundraising and communications manager to join our Scotland team at our Edinburgh office (hybrid working available with two days in the office required).  This is a permanent position.

 About us

Stop It Now! Scotland is the only national charity dedicated exclusively to tackling child sexual abuse.  As a growing and influential third sector child protection agency, we are part of The Lucy Faithfull Foundation, a UK wide charity focusing on the prevention of child sexual abuse through engaging with both protective adults and those who present a risk to children.  Our work is vital and has real impact – every day we protect children from harm across the country through our advice and active support for adults, helping people make positive choices to prevent abuse before it happens.

 About the role

We are an organisation that is increasingly recognised for its excellence in its work around child protection and safeguarding.  This full time (37.5hrs per week) role is an excellent opportunity to make a significant contribution to improve protection of children from harm across Scotland.  This is a highly rewarding role within a friendly, supportive and hardworking team which is committed to keeping children safe from sexual harm.

As our fundraising and communications manager, you will lead on the delivery of our fundraising and communications strategies.  You will work closely with the Head of Communication and Engagement and our Fundraising Manager in our UK charity, The Lucy Faithfull Foundation.  The position will involve bid writing and directly applying for funds from a range of bodies alongside delivering major donor stewardship and community fundraising activities.  The communications element of the role will be delivered with the support of a strong manager in the team and involve activities that increase Stop it Now! Scotland’s profile and reputation, including engaging in policy development with local and national government.

You will help take our work to protect children to the next level, developing new income streams, setting challenging but realistic annual goals and fostering a culture of collaboration and support.

About you

You will be an energetic professional, who is proactive and outcome focused with exceptional communication and relationship skills.  You will be a proven fundraiser with specific experience putting together multi-year bids to trusts, foundations and statutory bodies in a charity setting.  As this role has a strong element of communications; experience in external relations will be key.  You will need to be an excellent communicator, committed to the concept of child sexual abuse as a preventable public health issue.
