Unicef ensures more of the world’s children are vaccinated, educated and protected than any other organisation. We have done more to influence laws and policies to help protect children than anyone else. We get things done. And we’re not going to stop until the world is a safe place for all our children.

We are currently seeking a Deputy Executive Director, Corporate and Foundation Partnerships to help us achieve our ambitious goals and move us closer to making every child safe and able to reach their full potential. As a member of the senior executive team and reporting directly to the Executive Director, the new Deputy Executive Director will have significant impact on Unicef UK and our ability to deliver on our mission. Unicef UK currently secures around £25 million annually in corporate partnership and foundation support from a strong range of organisations, including Unilever, Standard Chartered Bank, BT, The Wellcome Trust, and Manchester United. However we believe that, with the right leadership for our corporate and foundation partnership teams, we can significantly grow our income with the support of similar organisations. Our ambition is that over the next five years we will see annualised corporate and foundation partnership support to Unicef UK rise to closer to £50 million; and we want to invest in the strategy, approach, capability and people that will help us realise that goal.

We wish to encourage applications from experienced senior leaders drawn from a wide variety of backgrounds. The successful candidate will be an ambitious and visionary leader with proven experience working with the most senior levels of corporate organisations and/or trusts and foundations. You will demonstrate a deep knowledge of how to cultivate and steward high value relationships between corporate and grant making organisations and their partners. You will have the energy and aptitude to build Unicef UK’s reputation with a wide range of corporate and foundation partners, and significantly expand the range of partners who engage with us. You will have demonstrable experience in cultivating and developing relationships with business leaders and foundation leaders, and reporting on their success and income generation to the Unicef UK Board. Excellent communication skills are essential, alongside a clear passion and commitment to Unicef’s mission.
