Position: Digital Fundraising and Communications Lead

Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer

Based at: RM11 3YB

Contract: Full-time, 8.30am - 4.30pm

Annual Leave: 25 days (per annum)

Job Spec:

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Wavelength for a Digital Fundraising and Communications Lead. This person will grow our digital fundraising income year on year, develop our brand & lead on social media. We are looking for someone with demonstrable experience in raising funds digitally. Some trust and foundation fundraising experience would be welcomed.

If you are a digital fundraising professional with at least three years of experience this is an excellent opportunity to take on a challenging, yet highly rewarding role supporting our work.

Job Description:

  • To create robust digital fundraising strategies and campaigns with appropriate comms to increase income reach
  • Develop strategies for growing income and delivering an excellent supporter experience through email, search, paid social and other digital marketing channels
  • To carry out our advertising, executing digital campaigns through email marketing and banner advertising
  • Recruit and coordinate fundraising volunteers, companies, community groups, etc for fundraising on our behalf - how would you advertise it
  • Develop and execute an individual-giving strategy over the next few years and be the main point of contact for donors
  • Managing and monitoring and creating engaging content for all of our social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Youtube as well as other marketing and communication materials (including our website)
  • Work with the team to test different communication approaches and create reports on all digital activities by assessing our performance against KPIs.
  • Write press releases and be the main contact point for press engagement with the CEO
  • Work across-team to ensure coordinated and cooperative fundraising approaches
  • Improve the integration of online and offline channels
  • Any other task as necessary.

Essential skills and experience

  • At least 3 years of experience working in a digital fundraising/marketing and/or communications role.
  • Proven track record of digital fundraising, income generation, social media, and use of google analytics and SEO
  • Educated to a degree level ideally in, Digital Fundraising, Marketing and/or Communications
  • Have demonstrable experience in producing high-quality written content, presenting compelling cases for support and impact information
  • Maintaining and developing successful donor relationships through timely and appropriate communications and engagement
  • Planning and managing digital fundraising and marketing activity

Desirable, not essential:

  • Experience using Adobe Suite and WordPress, In-Design, Hootsuite, Buffer, Mailchimp, and Facebook Business Manager, Google analytics, Dotdigital, Experience in film & Podcasts.
