Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager
Ref: SCPM(2021)CN
Location: Flexible (regular attendance at WWT Slimbridge Wetlands Centre required but post could be home based or located at another WWT site)
Working pattern: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: circa. £40,000 per annum

As Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager, you will head up the corporate partnerships team (currently three direct reports covering business development and account management) to achieve income targets in excess of £700,000. You will be responsible for raising critical funds for conservation projects in the UK and internationally, supporting conservation, education, and wellbeing projects as well as our network of UK Wetland Centres.

In addition, you will play a lead role in the development and execution of innovative new partnerships and income streams that align with our ambitious Blue Recovery proposals.

We are looking for a dynamic, creative and entrepreneurial professional with extensive experience of corporate partnership development, either within the charity or private sectors, and a strong track record in securing and delivering six figure corporate partnerships.

The ideal candidate will be a strong relationship fundraiser and have the proven ability to collaborate with both corporate partners and technical colleagues to develop and deliver projects that offer mutually beneficial objectives.

Experience with a conservation charity is preferred but not essential. A collaborative and proactive approach will be critical for success, as will the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to build effective working relationships across the organisation.

The Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust (WWT) is the UK’s leading wetlands conservation charity. We are pioneers in saving threatened wetland wildlife, a centre for excellence in conservation science and experts in wetland management and creation.  Around a million visitors a year engage with wetland nature at our ten centres around the UK, and we work nationally and internationally in key wetland areas to balance conservation with sustainable livelihoods. We have recently completed a review of our strategic priorities, which includes ambitious targets for developing bigger and better wetlands and encouraging more people to take direct action for these unique places.

The world is facing a climate crisis, a nature crisis and an emerging wellbeing crisis. Wetlands offer a real solution, and as our new Senior Corporate Partnership Manager, you will play a vital role building relationships with leading national and global companies to work with us to create, protect and restore these spaces.

In return for your hard work and dedication you’ll enjoy a wide range of benefits including:

  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (30 days after 5 years’ service)
  • Flexible working location / home working
  • Contributory pension scheme (conditions apply)
  • Life assurance
  • Free parking and secure bike storage areas
